Nokia Maps 2.0, lansat in varianta beta la Mobile World Congress 2008, in Barcelona, ofera optiuni mult asteptate de cei care folosesc S60. Odata cu iesirea din Beta, Nokia Maps 2.0 ofera utilizatorilor optiunea de navigare prin GPS in continuare gratuit.

Nu este versiunea finala, dar arata foarte bine! Va fi disponibila pentru toate telefoanele cu Windows Mobile. In clip este testata pe un HTC Touch Diamond.

Din pacate nu e gratuit, dar poate fi descarcata o versiune ce limiteaza clipurile filmate la 30 de secunde.

Softul poate iregistra atat audio cat si video in formatul MPEG4, iar o ora de inregistrare ocupa cam 60 MB. Inregistrarea e realizata la 15 fame-uri pe secunda.

Azi a fost anuntata lansarea versiunii 4.1 a cunoscutului sistem de operare pentru telefoane mobile, Opera Mini.

Ce ofera in plus fata de versiunea anterioara:
- o viteaza de operare cu 50% mai mare decat Opera Mini 4.0
- completarea automata a url-urilor, pentru a usura introducerea acestora
- salvarea paginilor web pentru a fi vizualizate ulterior
- acces rapid la un anumit cuvant sau o anumita fraza dintr-o pagina web
- se vor putea descarca imagini, sonerii si alte aplicatii fara a fi necesara parasirea browserului.

SkyZone Entertainment, Inc., a leading international mobile entertainment publisher unveiled their lineup of upcoming games for the second quarter of 2008.

SkyZone will launch five titles in the second quarter. Arcade Zone, Sushi Samurai, Escape!, Karnivale, and Goblins at the Gate will become available for download and purchase over the course of the first half of 2008.

Hands-On Mobile, in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment, released Iron Man for mobiles today, a new game based on Marvel’s famous (and fictional) Iron Man character. Besides the game, exclusive Iron Man mobile content is available, as of now, from select operators around the globe. In the coming weeks, more carriers will add the Iron Man game and content to their offers.

Presented as a “vertically scrolling shoot ‘em-up” game, Iron Man for mobiles features an action that revolves around the plot of the upcoming Iron Man movie. Players will have to control the Iron Man himself, during 4 levels full of action. Helped by weapons like “repulsor rays” and the “unibeam”, the Iron Man must visit many dangerous places, while firing at the enemies and trying not to get killed. Gather power-ups (to make your weapons more effective) and destroy all the foes that stand in your way.

Gameloft announced that it will bring the official Wimbledon 2008 mobile game just in time for the Grand Slam tournament.

The game will feature both singles and doubles modes on clay, grass and synthetic surfaces, and there are five training mini-games designed to help you improve your serves, ground-strokes and volleys. In addition, thanks to the official tournament license, Wimbledon 2008 will also include an extra Wimbledon Championships history section, from where you’ll be able to learn interesting facts from the tournament’s past, as well as test your own Wimbledon knowledge.
